This week was another week of chugging along with some really awesome things and not so awesome too. This week has turned into more like summer. It has been hot, humid and sunny most of the time. Josh was able to come to church so that was good. we continue working with Luis and Caleb and lots of others like Ron Hunt, Juana's family and lots of others. So at our lesson with Juana we brought brother Garner who speaks spanish and they talked in spanish most of the time until the end and Brother Garner said Juana knew the church was true, but she wants her son Brandon and ( not officially husband yet) Alberto to recieve an answer before she goes any farther. We also meet a guy while tracting who we gave a Book of Mormon to a few weeks ago and he stopped us and said he is reading and loves the book. We just had District meeting this week, nothing else to different. Transfers are July 13. Elder Taylor is an only child to his parents, but has half brothers and sisters. His dads family are members but not necessarily active, his mom was a convert and is from West Virginia. He has been out 1 transfer longer than me. Elder Taylor is really nice though and is always willing to share what he has. We have a washer and dryer in the basement of the apartment we are able to use. Something that inspires me is lots of things really, but the most important thing is trying to make it back to Heavanly Father again. I dont keep in a lot of contact, Elder Koppenhafer the most at this point, and he is doing well and is now a Zone Leader. I am doing well myself, this week learning a lot more about the importance of feeling and retaining the spirit. I am doing great, learning lots and having a wonderful time here. Have a good one.

So this week turned out to be a pretty good week. On Monday we drove to Wadsworth and played volleyball with the Zone. Then on Tuesday we had some really awesome lessons with people, especially at Luis house with Brother Jones, talking about how Luis and his family can recognize the spirit. We had District meeting on Wednesday and went out with the young men as well on splits so that was good. It rained really hard on thursday, but besides then it has been sunny and 80's most of the time around here. We went and did service again on Friday this week and on Saturday  helped brother Yawu move some furniture that was really nice but heavy from a really nice house to a storage unit. Our investigators are doing good. Luis and Caleb came to church and so did Josh. We are still working with the other hispanic family and have some others on the horizon. It is for sure a process, but the gospel has been able to make a big difference in the peoples lives we are working with whether they recognize it or not. Sounds like summer is in full swing around there and things are going good. I'm pretty sure people are going to be really excited around here for a while after the cavs won yesterday so that will be interesting and now the work on Lebron begins for the other Elders haha. Well I hope that everyone has a wonderful week to come and that all goes well.  It is a lot different here where the wind doesnt blow 100 miles an hour everyday, maybe thats why is is green here haha. So this week was another pretty good week. We were again able to have some really good lessons with people. Some of the things that stick out is we had a lesson with an investigator family named Juana, Alberto, and there son Brandon who is 9. We hadnt had dinner so they went to little ceasers and bought us a pizza. We must have a lot of relatives around here because we found a new investigator named Ron Hunt, to go along with the member Sister Hunt,  haha. Yesterday we were tracting and talked to some people on their porch and they ended up talking with us for an hour while they fed us cheeseburgers and cookies for dinner. Josh came to church and no one else, we havent had a lot of contact with Luis lately. We also had zone conference which was great for learning and was fun to be able to see Elder Jensen, one of the assitants, he is one of my favorites. I also forgot to say I finally talked to Elder Eardley while transfers were happeneing, he from monticello and he said he knows the Johnsons. Elder Taylor is still getting used to riding a bike, especially for most of the day, but he is fine. We dont have a ton in common but he does get out and go to work which is good. Elder Wright and i get along great, we like a lot of the same things. Elder Butterfield is good too, he is the one who likes to cook. Mark and Kelli are doing good, and Elder Koppenhafer left Kirtland this last transfer I think. The weather was pretty hot a few days this week as well here, I think saturday was about mid 90's. But things are going good for me. I still appreciate all everyone does for me. Nothing to out of the normal going on this week. We just continue to do missionary work here. So this week has really been a pretty fun week. Elder Whittaker left and Elder Taylor came in and things started doing good this week. Elder Taylor is from Bountiful, he is a video game player and his family is in an interesting situation where he is the only child, but he has half brothers and sisters. He was just companions with Elder Murphey, who was an assistant a month or so ago so he learned a lot that I am able to learn from too. He was in our Zone before so I knew who he was, but hadnt really talked to him a lot. We have at least one thing in common and that is trying to baptize people haha. Elder taylor is also getting used to biking everywhere, he has never really rode a bike before wednesday. Luis, Caleb and Josh came to church this week, along with a new family named Juana, Alberto, and their 9 year old son Brandon. I guess I need to learn how to speak Spanish. The Lee's were good, the members here are really nice for sure. President Brown just always knows what to do and it seems like it is always the right move too. We also had to drive to Cleveland because our phone broke, so we got a new one at the mission office. We can do service Tuesday through Friday, but we usually just end up doing it then except this week we went to Cleveland on Friday. The homeless shelter was a good prep for Akron for sure, but the food bank is a pretty neat and clean place. It sounds like lots of busy and fun around there, that is about what we have going on as well. The weather hasnt been too bad around here, staying pretty sunny and warm. But I am doing good.  I hope you have a wonderful week and we are going to work on finding people to baptize.

So I am staying here in Akron and Elder Whittaker is leaving to Wauseon, and my new companion is Elder Taylor, he is coming from the ward next door to Akron ward. And of course Elder Mitchel is going home and Elder wright is staying here as well. This week has been a pretty warm week here. The humidity is different for sure, and has been about 85 to 90 degrees for most of the week. We also didnt have a/c most of last week so it got a little warm sometimes even in the apartment, but it is fixed now. Nothing really to crazy happened this week. We had zone training meeting on Thursday, did service on Friday, and tried teaching people the rest of the time. Caleb, the son of Luis really loves church. Luis isnt sure if he is ready to get baptized yet but they are looking good still. People in akron are outside a lot when it gets warm, mainly on their porches and always grilling. I'm not sure how they keep the chicken and ribs in supply around here. I am glad to hear you had a good trip. It looked like Mancos is kind of a cool spot. President Brown just wants us to make sure we try to keep in contact with investigators everyday, plan better, and work with the members because as Elder Oaks told him thats where the break through will happen. It is going good for me though, always just trying to get better at being a missionary. We are making it back down to the Lee's today, and we always get to see Brother Jeffries because he always comes out teaching with us. Brother Jeffries is great because he is home almost all day every day. Have a great week.

This week went well and we were blessed a lot for sure. There is a push since interviews to keep in contact with our investigators everyday so we have been trying to do that and it has worked out pretty good for us. Josh is able to read about 1 verse a day and he came to church again. Luis and Caleb have also been able to read and they came to church as well. At our lesson this week with them we had Luis, Caleb, Elvira(Luis wife), and Elvira's sister Melrose at our lesson, and Melrose even came to church too. She is going to the phillipines for a month but liked it and she is looking for a church so that is exciting. We always talk to lots of people who we may or may not see again, but hopefully we plant the seed at least.  President is a really good guy, he likes you to get to work and not mess around with unimportant stuff. He sticks to the rules mainly, but he has a great sense of when to do something that isnt the normal thing or when the exception applies.
