So this week was another great week for us. Toledo has been pretty cold, but not to much snow. I think the other side of the state got all the snow, we only have a couple of inches right now, but it is about 11 degrees. We were able to meet with one of our newer investigators, James, a few times this week and were able to set a baptismal date with him for January. We also got out and were trying to find as many people as we could talk to in this cold and snowy weather. It was great to see yesterday as well at church that a few of the less actives we are working with came to church so that was great to see too. There is 1 active young men that just turned 12 who attends the ward on a regular basis so we help with the sacrament most weeks too.
I went on exchanges with Elder Brockbank in Perrysburg so that was great and lots of fun to spend the day with him again. Our excitement was we helped a lady push her car out of the main road because I think she ran out of gas. In church Sunday, an older man, Brother Arthur, told a story of how he took his friend, who wanted to meet President Howard W. Hunter, to Cleveland in 1992 to meet President Hunter. Brother Arthur's friend was from somewhere in the middle East and he asked President Hunter to pray for his country because they were in the middle of a civil war. The next day Brother Arthur woke up and on the news it said " Breaking news, the war ( in whatever country it was) just ended today." I thought that was pretty cool. This week has the potential to be pretty calm week for us. District Meeting tomorrow and exchanges with Bowling Green. Then our normal things and Christmas is a normal day as well, except it is Sunday and church is at 11 with the other Toledo Ward too. We have about a foot tall tree from Elder Eardley's parents we have the presents around. I will for sure get some pictures. I am doing amazing though, very, very blessed in many, many ways. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

So we had a really great week here in Toledo. We were able to get over and visit our investigators and have great lessons with all of them. Larry, who is scheduled to get baptized in January went to Louisiana to visit family, but we got to see him on Monday. Roxy was able to come to the ward Christmas party on Saturday so that was good for her to be able to meet some members of the Ward. The picture was from Sister Insch, and Brother Insch (the ward mission leader) was Santa. We also saw Frank and he is doing super great, but is just super busy, and we were very blessed to be able to find some new people to start teaching so that was great. It did snow here, pretty much all day yesterday. It just drizzled and they cancelled church after sacrament meeting yesterday even though it was probably only 8 inches at the most last night. We were just walking down the street after church and were able to talk to a couple of people who hopefully at least had there day brightened, but that said we could come back and hopefully we see again. It is above freezing today and starting to melt a little already, there is probably only a inch or two right now after some settling and melting.
I was on exchanges with Elder Dunne in Wauseon and we were just walking down the street in a little town called Delta and Mr. Dunfords brother honked at us, then pulled into his drive way and told us to get some hot chocolate and he gave us a ride a couple blocks away back to our car. It is a small world for sure, I wouldn't have guessed I would meet Mr. Dunfords brother in Wauseon. We also had zone conference this week and that is always good. We mainly talked about setting goals, inviting people to be baptized on the first lesson, and having President Brown expound the scriptures to us which was awesome.
I got Aunt Shirley's package, and a letter from Marv and Raelene, so thank you all again so much for all you do for me, I truly do appreciate it. I hope you all have an awesome week.

So as always lots of interesting excitement here in Toledo. Christmas Conference was great. We woke up at 5:30, and put 6 of us in the truck and headed to Kirtland last Tuesday morning. There was Elders Brockbank, Brooke, Nelson, Hale, Eardley and me in the truck. So we got there about 9:30 and went to the visitors center to look at the nativities which is always good. Also we chatted with the other missionaries there too for a little bit. I also saw Brother Phillips and Brother Packer at the sites so I will send you the pictures. We had lunch at the Stake Center there in Kirtland and then went to the Kirtland Temple for a little devotional thing. There was a lot of songs and testimonies by missionaries and other people like President Brown, President Connor, the Stake President in Youngstown, and Elder Tittera the area 70 over President Brown. I like Kirtland a lot for sure. We ended about 3:45 and headed for home. When we got back, I drove another 30 minutes or so with Elder Nelson to Bowling Green for exchanges. In the morning he was pretty sure he had hand, foot and mouth sickness, so we had to drive to a CVS and get it checked out so that made for an interesting day. Frank is still doing good as he is just so busy, but we talk to him on the phone almost everyday. Roxy we met with and she is still coming along slowy. Larry Mitchell came to church this week which was great. On saturday we helped a recent convert and her son, who both are restricted in a lot of areas, move and it took all day long, so I got my workout in for sure. Yesterday it tried to snow a little bit but the ground was to warm for it to stick much, but there was the first attempt I have seen this go round. Random questions are good, for dinner usually we will have leftovers, or I will whip up some canned soup or an egg sandwich or random things that are super easy like a pb and sometimes j or honey sandwich. Thanks for all the updates. I got letters from John Alger's family and Bob Holt this week, so thanks to them very much. I am doing great, always learning lots. Have a wonderful, marvelous, amazing week.

November 28, 2016
Well, it has been pretty good since I emailed last. Last Wednesday night we stopped by a referral and we were able to teach him the Restoration and give him a Book of Mormon which was really great, and of course he is from Africa like 2 of the others we are working with. Thanksgiving was good. We played a little basketball in the morning with a couple other missionaries, we went to Wal-Mart and got an umbrella, then we went to the Insch's house until about 6. We played a game with their son and daughter in law called Codenames, it was pretty fun. We ate dinner at the Insch's and it was good. Most people in Ohio don't make as many things homemade, but we were very grateful to eat at there house. Nothing to crazy we ate, the regular things except we had green bean casserole which I don't think I ever had before coming here, but everyone has it. We also had pie from Costco, apple, pecan, and pumpkin, they were really good. The rest of the evening we visited a old man in a care center who is a member, a returning less active, and did some stop-bys at people's homes.
This week I stayed here in Toledo with Elder Cortez for exchanges. He is from Mexico and has been out about 2 months, but speaks English pretty good for how long he has been out. It was really great to have him with me because the after stopping by a less actives home, we started knocking doors and the first door we knocked on 2 little kids came to the door and then left. We waited for a minute and then went to the next door. At the next door the lady said she didn't speak English so Elder Cortez started talking in Spanish to her. She wasn't interested but said the, door we just knocked on, that house spoke Spanish. So we went back to the previous door we had knocked on and eventually a lady answered and Elder Cortez and her started speaking Spanish and we found out that she is a member of the church. She was baptized in Nicaragua and moved here about 11 years ago and hasn't been to church in 11 years. So we are going to take someone who speaks Spanish with us to see her this week hopefully.
Also, Larry Mitchell, the man with the gold dollar tooth came to church on yesterday so that was awesome. Elder Eardley and I spoke, along with President Hamilton who is in the mission presidency and it was all about member missionary work. President Hamilton doesn't sugar coat it either.
We are still teaching most of the people we were before, at least investigators even with the split of the ward. We have our Christmas Conference in Kirtland tomorrow so that will be fun, but a long drive. I hope you have a really fun and awesome week. I am doing great.

Happy Thankgiving
So as always "You do better in toledo", but it is always crazy in Toledo. It was transfer week last week, so last Wednesday Elder Eardley took and brought back a load of missionaries from Cleveland and I stayed in Toledo with Elder Nelson for most of the day. Then Thursday we had to go get the truck worked on ( a recall for the airbags) about 20 minutes away so we did our planning while we were waiting for it to get finished. We also had a great lesson with Roxy who said she would be at church this week. Friday it was about 75 which was really odd, and Saturday was about 32 with it trying to snow a little. We also saw Frank with Brother Insch and it went well. He had read from the Book of Mormon and he is doing awesome. Monday was our meeting in Cleveland and yesterday the Toledo South Zone Leaders were with us for the day because there vehicle had to be used by the trainers and trainee's to go to a meeting. Today it is rainy and cold too. You never know what might happen here. We also got news on Monday that starting January 1st preparation day will be on Wednesday, so you can get ready for that. We are having Thanksgiving with the Insch's tomorrow so as always lots of fun. I am glad to hear about everyone and how they are doing. I am doing really well. Our area is still the same as it was before except we only cover about 1/3 of the ward which is all the city part of it, the sisters have the more country part now. I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving where ever you are at. Thanks again so much for everything.

November 14, 2016- A week late :/
So another wild week in Toledo, that seems to be the way it goes out here. We had some great lessons this week, we weren't able to get back in touch with that family again though, we are trying again today. A man named Frank who is from Nigeria we are teaching and he loves to hear the lessons but doesn't read super good so we are trying to help him read the Book of Mormon right now. we are still working with Victoria and she is coming along super well as well. Another girl named Roxy we are trying to help to believe in Jesus Christ, so that is lots of fun as well.
So we are moving to a new spot, the address is 3357 Airport Highway #7 Toledo, Ohio 43609.
I guess I should mention we are staying together again for round 3. We will still be living by ourselves, and Elder Brockbank is going back across the river to Perrysburg to train a new missionary. This transfer does go until December 28. They are putting sisters in our old apartment, so we won't be covering the whole ward anymore. Elder Koppenhafer is coming out to be in our zone now so that will be fun too. Our new apartment has a baby blue bath tub so I will have to take a picture next week for you, i'm excited about that haha.
We had some great visits this week with members. Yesterday Steve, Mikayla and Chris's step dad cooked us up a whole barbeque of ribs, chicken, hamburgers, and all sorts of stuff because they wont be in our area anymore starting tomorrow. It is always lots of fun to go to the Insch's house (our ward mission leader), he is just a funny guy. He was super excited because they bought us dinner at the scout fundraiser and thought it was spaghetti, but it was pancakes and he loves pancakes so he was just really excited. We always have lots of side things to take care of for sure so that makes things just cruise on by.
I went on exchanges with Elder Schwartz again this week, but this time stayed in Toledo so that was good. I do have some pictures to send this week. The weather here has still been really nice, just a little jacket weather about 60. The weather says it might snow this weekend though.

November 7, 2016
Well this was another week full of things going on for sure. It was also a very good week and it for sure flew by. On tuesday we had district meeting in Bowling Green and afterwards I went on exchanges with Elder Nelson in Bowling Green. I was a good exchange, it was a very warm day though. We met a guy who had a piece of grass in his yard that he caught some how after the Tigers won the 1984 World Series. We had a really good lesson with a lady named Roxy on Wednesday. She really likes sports and is really open to learning about the Gospel. We then had some planning and things to do for Stake Coordination and what we call a Mission Presidents Fireside on Sunday. Stake coordination is coordination with the Stake President, President Eddington, President Brown, and a few others. The fireside is just where President Brown and Eddington talk for a few minutes and it is really for investigators and it went well too. We are still teaching Victoria and she is doing great. She didnt come to church, but her son had some crazy things going I guess. We also hauled some wood for a part member family in the Perrysburg Ward and that was fun to do. We got a good chunk of cleaning in this morning and that about wraps things up.
We got a referral this week, so we went to contact it. We did meet the lady and set up a time to go visit her the next day. We went back the next day and were able to teach her the Restoration, and her sons who are 8 and 5 I think were excited to get a new book as well. when we got done with the lesson we were about to leave and a man who wasnt to happy to see us when we came in, and who sat in the other room while we were talking, came over and started talking to us. He said he just wanted to listen and he liked what he heard and was excited for us to come back. So that was a pretty cool story.
Christmas conference is where the mission gets together in Kirtland for a conference about Christmas, it is a pretty cool thing.
Things are flying by for sure. Sometimes long days but almost always short weeks. I am doing well though. I hope you have a wonderful week.

It has been a very fast week out here in Toledo for us as well. Last Monday we made it over to the church to play some basketball so that was good for me anyway. Tuesday we had our meeting in Cleveland which took most of the day, and then between planning and going to appointment, going on exchanges with Elder Talbot who has been out about 10 weeks, and then Zone Training meeting on Friday, it was a flash it seemed like. Being with 3 adds a new dynamic to everything we do for sure, we will probably get everything figured out about the time we get back to just 2. We have still been teaching Victoria, and she came to church this week with her son again so that is going well, just trying to work everyone else in with there busy schedules when we can. We have still been blessed to be able to teach people about the Restoration and to give away Books of Mormon to people . We are really pushing still to get members out teaching with us, that is one of President Brown's big pushes. Nothing super crazy happened this week, we met a man tracting who reads his bible in Greek, he was Catholic and Elder Brockbank is super good at making conversations out of nothing, but besides that just teaching people and trying to find others and planning. The primary program was Sunday, I thought it was really good especially with the few amount of kids there were.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will talk to you again after I do some cleaning next Monday.

So things haven't been to crazy since a couple of days ago. Friday evening we went to the ward chilli cook off and were the judges. It is a smaller ward for sure, so there were just 8 to judge. I still couldn't make up my mind which one to choose with only a couple either. We also saw Brother Mildenburger, a nice old less active man that evening too. We had a great lesson with Victoria, the lady from Africa on Saturday and she came to church with her son for the second time in a row. Erin didn't come but we will be seeing her later today. We are still working on all the other people. We will be in a triple up until I think the 16th of November when transfers are. Elder Brockbank is from Provo and went to Provo High School, he has 4 siblings, I know one of them is an older brother. He said he could see the MTC from his house. Things went well with the interviews and we will just be getting ready for another meeting this week. It continues to cool down a little bit around here, staying about the 50's, except yesterday was about 70, for most of the time with a breeze and lots of clouds. We just continue to try to get the members to come out with us and to, as always find more people to teach.

This week has been probably the craziest week of my mission really. So things were going just normal, on Friday I went on exchanges with Elder Wheelright from the Toledo 2 Ward in our ward and we were having a great day, talking to lots of great potential investigators and then all the sudden we get a call from President Brown and he says " what are your plans this evening", so we tell him. Then a few minutes later he calls back right as we are visiting with our investigator Cody, so I answer the phone and President says " You need to meet the assistants at your apartment and you and Elder Eardley are now in a triple up with Elder Brockbank ( Who was across the river in Perrysburg ans East Toledo) and his companion is going home who the assistants are picking up". So we got Elder Brockbank who has been out for 6 months and went to our dinner an hour late before exchanging back. So for about a week I have been with 2 companions. We also had interviews with President Brown yesterday and then went to the temple in Detroit with Brother Stephenson today.
So that is the crazy extra stuff, the important stuff is that our investigator Erin continues to do pretty good. she said she is planning on coming to church this week. Also we met a new person, a referral named Frank who looks similar to Brother Yawu from Akron ( I think I sent a picture of him to you). We had a really great Restoration lesson with him which was awesome. We still work with lots of less active people, some trying harder than others to come back. A man named Justice who has been baptized about a year has his mom from Ghana living with him right now, so hopefully we can start teaching her.
It is amazing to see how Heavenly Father will guide us if we listen to the spirit, especially in the little things I've seen this week. Even just talking to one more person or saying one little thing makes a huge difference.

We had another really good week from Toledo. We were able to and again blessed to find some new people we can start working with. One of the people, a girl named Erin, had met with missionaries before and she is super willing to learn to do the things we ask. We have had a tough time getting in contact with Roy lately, he has been working like crazy and doing who knows what else. He doesnt have a cell phone so it is tough to get in contact with him. He didnt make it to church. But we are still working with lots of less actives and recent converts and anyone else who wants to talk to us.
We went on exchanages with the assistants this week, so that was really great. We both were here in Toledo, I went with Elder Lancaster and he is awesome, he is actually the one I replaced when I came here. But that was about the only different thing for us this week.
It is starting to turn to fall here for sure, this morning it got down to 40 so for sure a little chilly. Elder Eardley said he wants to go golfing with Kyler and that Kyler might be better than him haha. That is awesome that he did so good, you will have to tell him congrats for me. Our most interesting meal was either roast, mashed potatoes with cheese, and baked squash stuff, or chilli with, noodles, bread, and pumkin pie. A lot of times we dont get anything too crazy that is. The most interesting person we meet was on exchnages. I gave this old black guy a card and he said "wow", then he wanted Elder Lancaster to give him a card so he did and the guy was telling me I needed to give better cards because mine wasnt as good as Elder Lancasters. We were pretty sure he was drunk, or at least Elder Lancaster smelt. We stopped by a refferal and no one answered, but we knocked a couple doors and a lady opened the door right up, we taught her and then she said we could come back and she reffered us to her mother in law. It was really cool. Elder Eardley and I get along good. I appreciate all you do for me. I hope you have a great week.

This week was really a great week for us, but we should be back on the normal email schedule, at least for a little bit. We had some good lessons with our investigators this week and Mikayla and Kris are all set to get baptized on Saturday so that will be good. We were able to get out and talk to lots of people which was great too. I went on exchanges to Wauseon with Elder Schwartz and it was good. Elder Whittaker came here with Elder Eardley. They have a huge area, the whole branch, that they cover so we drove about 45 minutes towards the bottom of there area and the person who gave us a ride is originally from Oak City Utah. This area is good because there is a lot of diversity, you have suburbs, downtown, and some countryside so we are able to always be mixing things up. It is flat so helps for biking, even though it is fun to go down hills. We also had Stake conference this Sunday, so we went to that and Elder Dunnigan who is an area 70 from Michigan was here. I am doing great, things can be difficult sometimes for sure, but we do keep learning and trying to get better. I have learned that if you just do what they ask you to do when its not the easiest, then it doesnt get easy, but it gets easier and you are just able to do it. Easier said than done, but there are many wonderful opportunities to help people to see the difference the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes. It sounds like you are still doing good back there and i hope you have a great week.

We did hear that the old rockets of Toledo almost pulled it off. Our ward mission leader was at the game I think because he is a dean for Toledo. But General conference was good for sure. There was a lot of good talks, it was hard to pick a favorite but yesterday in District meeting I said I liked the first talk of conference by President Uchtdorf. It talked about how blessed we are to have the gospel and how things shouldn't get old or boring, but should always be exciting. And always President Monson in Priesthood session telling us to keep the word of wisdom and take care of our bodies, you will have to read it. We watched conference at the church. Our week was a little slower, lots of people we work with doing things and running all over the place. It was a crazy week really, we had preparation day, Mission Leadership counsel in Cleveland that took pretty much all day, then lots of planning, Zone Training Meeting on planning, and finding people to teach mainly. Then we both stayed here and went on exchanges with Bryan South elders, which is right out next to Indiana. We then had conference and transfers this week. Yesterday we had something cool happen, I was going to buy Elder Eardley dinner at Chipotle ( kind of like Costa Vida) and when we got up to pay, a lady that was in line ahead of us already bought for us. But I am still doing really well, we are still working with Roy and I am for the most part having joy, i'm almost perfect at that, but not quite haha. I had to put my jacket on yesterday, so things are cooling down for sure here too. Every area I have been in is the same, but also they are a lot different. Same culture and houses and things, and same work, but different feel and the way people are I guess. Toledo is a great spot for sure. Have a wonderful week and that again all goes well.

September 26, 2016
Well, another deep cleaning day is in the books, so that is good. But this week went good. We had a couple good lessons with Roy who yes, is our serious investigator right now. we have some others but no one coming to church at this point. He also came to church and even payed his tithing. Tuesday was Zone Conference and we just had to talk about talking to everyone and have some practices on it. They talked about committing people to do things and memorizing more things to use when teaching and lots of other little things like keeping your apartment clean. I then went on exchanges with Elder Clawson who has been out about 10 weeks to Perrysburg, but really just Toledo on the other side of the river is where we stayed most of the time. We hoped on the bikes Friday and rode into Toledo for most of the day just trying to find people to talk to. I did not speak at the baptism, I just said a prayer and we of course got everything ready for it. At Zone training meeting about a month ago we talked about how we need to use members to take teaching more and to ultimately get referrals because they can get to the people we cant. But we have zone training meeting again this week on Friday too. Your funny story this week is at zone conference we were supposed to memorize the principles of the lessons in order, but one of the companionship's had texted President Brown and asked him a principle and he had said the wrong one, so they brought that up after he was telling us about getting them memorized and it was funny, he was of course a little embarrassed too. It is raining today and we finally got some real fall weather here for a couple days and it was really nice. But another adventurous week for us here. We will just keep chugging along here. I am doing good though, can't really complain about anything that's for sure.

September 19,2016
So this week went well, considering we had two baptisms so it would have been tough to have a bad week. i knew I should have brought my camera which had the pictures on it, so I will have to get you those next week. But I do have a couple pictures of Juana and Alvaro's wedding from Elder Taylor, so I will get you those. But as always another busy week for us here, we went on exchanges, I stayed here with Elder Nelson and we found a really awesome new investigator, had the quickest dinner of my mission at a members home, 20 minutes, and interviewed someone getting baptized in the next door ward. We got as much biking in as we could since we are supposed to be riding bikes everyday, and Saturday we again helped a family move furniture and got ready for the baptism while it rained for about 8 hours straight or so.
We had a Zone Training Meeting already, and it was a lot of planning to get ready for it, but I hope it went well and people learned from it. This week we have Zone conference which is the same thing except President and Sister Brown, the assistants, and some of the Senior office missionaries come and talk as well. We also don't have to do as much planning for that because President Brown is in charge. But it is going good here for us still. It is cooling down a little which is nice, until it gets too cold, which you never know here maybe that is only a week or two away. We have one other man named Roy who we are working with pretty seriously, he has a date and he comes to church pretty much every week, but this week it has been great to see that faith means more than belief, but really does mean doing something. Many think thinking about something hard enough and it just magically appears, but as we know that isn't the case at all. I hope you have a great week.

September 5, 2016
So this week was another good week for us. Mikayla and Chris are getting all ready and excited to be baptized. There are some others, like a man named Roy who are doing well also. I am sorry, today might be a little shorter of an email because Labor Day was Monday, and we were busy yesterday, and right now I am on exchanges with Elder Shwartz in Wausean's area, and Elder Eardley is with Elder Whittaker. I also went on exchanges with Elder Long last week in Bowling Green and did lots of planning for zone training meeting. I have a lot more to do than before for sure, but it is good and lots of fun as well. I did get the package and Aunt Doris letter, so thanks so much. That was just what i needed. Time really has flow by honestly, all the sudden that was 3 months ago. After you have been out a little while you get more used to it I guess, so you arent as lost, but things are going good for me. I know a couple of the members, mainly our ward mission leader Brother Insch and his wife. Fall is pretty good here, but yesterday was a pressure cooker, for some reason it heated up a lot and was super humid. Our area is mainly meant for 4 elders, so we cover all the way to downtown, and then way out to the corn fields as well. It is a pretty big area. Sounds like things are going good and I hope it continues. Have a wonderful week and thanks for all you do.

From Toledo
So I made it to Toledo, and it is similair, but a lot different from Akron. There are a lot less and smaller trees, and a lot more corn fields. We cover the whole ward so we have some of the city like I had before, and we have some of the outskirts as well. The drive was fine, it was about 2 hours. My new address is 5725 Tibaron Ln. Apt. 102 Toledo, OH 43615, and yes it is the same for packages as well as mail. It is always interesting going to a new area and learning about who the people are and where everything is, but this seems like a pretty nice place so far. Elder Eardley and I are just over 5 other wards or branches with missionaries in them around the area. But nothing to crazt going on for us either, just lots of missionary work. We have 2 investigators who are on baptismal date for September 17, Mikayla is 18 and Chris is 16, there mom is a less active member originaly from Blanding Utah. The ward is smaller than Akron by a lot, there is only 1 youth that is active in the whole ward. I am doing well. Thanks for all the support from everyone. This week we learned just going to work and getting it done is the only way to get things done ( or i guess I reaffirmed that). I hope everyone has a great week.

August 23, 2016
So this was a great week, and a crazy one as well. We had a wonderful lesson with Alvaro, Juana, and Brandon and they are getting baptized on October 8th. We also had a vehicle training up in Cleveland so I got to see my buddy Elder Jensen before he went home tomorrow. But then Sunday I got called to be a Zone leader in Toledo 1st ward. So I am moving a couple hours way out west. My new companion is going to be Elder Eardley, he is from Monticello so that is pretty crazy because Unlce Jeff was talking about him before I came out. So I will have a new address next week. Things have been really nice as far as the weather lately. It has cooled down to the 70's a lot of the time, and even with a little breeze so that is good. Fall is the best in Ohio. I totally forgot it was dads birthday, so Happy Birthday Dad!!! So today I will be packing and the other 3 Elders are staying togehter, this is Elder Wrights last transfer and 3rd with Elder Butterfield, they are a pretty funny duo. This week it has really been amazing to see, and learn about, how the spirit is really the boss and it is so important to always have that, especially when teaching. We have seen some great miracles of people progressing in the gospel from trying to listen to the spirit more and then act. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will be emailing form Toledo next week. Thanks for all the support.

Things went real good this week, but you could say things were pretty wet out here. I guess the sunny summer that isnt to normal here caught up with us and it has been raining a lot. It is summer so obviously it is warm outside, but we got wet a few times this week. We did have a pretty busy week as well. I went on exchanges with Elder Butterfield on tuesday and Wednesday we had interviews with President Brown. Saturday we helped an old less active lady who has health problems do some yard work. They have lots of dogs that live in the house all the time, but to say the least you can tell dogs live out there too. Alvaro, Juana, and Brandon came to church yesterday, and the Relief Society President, sister Liesure who is from Dallas Texas and that area gave a really good talk. She is a talker and could give a good one on almost anything. Today was deep clean again, that isnt the funnest but I like clean things for sure. But other wise we are just making our way around biking and talking to people as normal. It is always good to stay busy, school for sure helps with that. But I hope everyone has a good week and there gets a little more water everywhere, especially the springs. This week President Brown really emphasized, again, to get people reading and praying, but especially praying about the Book of Mormon. Because as we know that is the way people progress. Have a wonderful week.

So this week was another week that we were again very blessed and had some great things happen. We had a great lesson with Juana, Alvaro, and Brandon this week, and they even invited us over for lunch on Saturday after the other Elders baptism. They just need to get married and they are ready to get baptized Who knew you come to Ohio and get fed African and Central America food too. We did service at the Food Bank and at Salvation Army this week. We again, rode our bikes all around, and the bus and talked to many different people. We have been able to stay pretty busy running around all over the place doing missionary work. It has been pretty good weather this week, in the 80's and a little breeze. Our apartment a/c broke again so Elder Butterfield thinks he might die from heat, but luckily it hasnt been too hot. Last week we ate at Melt and got a big grilled cheese with lots of other things on it, so that was our eating adventure of the week. It is pretty crazy school starts already. Most people here dont start until the end of august or 1st part of September. It is for sure interesting to see the balance between the spirit and letter of the law, there is always a balance for sure. I hope you have a great week and thanks again for eveyones letters.

This week turned out to be a really awesome week. We were able to find some new people to teach, and lots of people who are moooose-lum, or at least that is how they say Muslim in Akron haha. My birthday was good, on Fridaynight Elder Taylor bought me Chillis for my birthday, we went with the other Elder too. It was nothing to crazy of a dayon Saturday though. It has been raining here too which has been nice, it has been in the 80's and a lot of overcast days. Ohio needed rain too because there lawns were burning up without sprinklers and rain, but I am glad to here they are getting some in Utah. We had zone training meeting this week, and also had some great lessons with our investigators. On Sunday, Luis, and finally his wife Elvira, and Caleb came to church and liked it a lot. Also, Alberto, Juana, and Brandon came t church and in our lesson this week, they said after they get married they want to get baptized. Their family is super awesome. Besides really great visits with people, nothing to crazy going on here. I have not baptized anyone, we try to get a member to do it because obviously we leave and the members hang around a little longer. It seems to be a similar process for everyone before they get baptized. They are excited at first, then things get a little tougher, and then they have an awesome experience and they get baptized and grow like a weed. It is a pretty great thing to see. I am doing good though, we did make it all the way to August. Thanks for the card and the package for my birthday, and also for everyone else: Aunt Dori, Grandma Sherry, and everyone else's support. But we just keep going along day by day. Days can be weeks, but weeks can be days here. It is amazing, again, how if anyone will read and pray everyday, they will come to church, and start progressing in the gospel and things will go good. Have a wonderful week and i will get some help on pictures if it doesnt work this week.

It sounds like things are going good for you there. It has really heated up around here. It has been in the 90's with not to much rain and lots of humidity for most of the week. It just seems normal to me but everyone says that 90's are really hot for this part of ohio. We did have some crazy hard rain after church yesterday. We have been working with Juana, Alberto, and Brandon alot lately. They came to church, and are working on getting married. They really like church, so that is good. Luis and family are all in freeze mode I guess you could say right now. And, like always, riding all over the place trying to talk to people. We had a ward party for the 24th on Wednesday we went to. It was just different games and things, and they had watermelon, bread and homemade butter for us for dinner, that was about our 24th celebration. Elder Butterfield was super excited to make the cake so he made it on Saturday so the cake is just about gone. Dont worry I do have a couple of pictures for you haha. I also went on exchanges this week with Elder Wright so that was good, we went to his area. I am doing really good though, receive lots of blessings everyday. We met an interesting guy who wanted us to tell him all about Cain, even though we didnt know a whole lot, so that was different. Hopefully it rains around there for everyone, and I hope the cows are doing good. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Things are going good still here. Josh is still doing good, and our investigator Juana is wants to be baptized, but her husband ( well they aren't married yet) and son are not ready yet, but they will be soon. Luis and Caleb didn't come to church and we haven't been able to talk to them for a couple of days now. We are still finding lots of people, but as has always been the case here, we usually cant get back in touch with them for a while. Which is the case with the person we gave the Book of Mormon to. Phil, the man we meet a while back came to church again and fed us dinner yesterday, so that was pretty cool even though him and his family arent to interested in hearing the lessons yet. nothing to out of the ordinary this week for us, just lots of finding and teaching. The other Elders had a baptism on Saturday, so that was good. It is starting to heat up around here, and of course it is really humid. Have a great week and you will have some pictures next week.

So nothing to crazy going on for transfers this week. Elder Taylor and I are staying in Akron and Elder Butterfield and Elder Wright are staying as well. So this week has been a really good week for sure. It hasnt been too hot yet, and we have been able to find many people to talk to and are continue teaching the families we are working with. At church Sunday, Luis and Caleb came, along with the other spanish family Alberto, Juana, and Brandon so that was awesome. About a month ago a man and his family fed us dinner on a Sunday when we didnt have a dinner and were just passing by their house, the dads name is Phil and he just showed up to church out of the blue which was a good surprise. I of course have the same address I have had as well. It sounds like lots of fun and a really busy time going on. I am doing good though, Elder Taylor is a lot different from me, thats for sure but I think it works out to make our missionary work better because we are different. I am still really bad at taking pictures of things, but I do have one this week. I hope you keep getting a little rain there, it has actually been pretty dry here from what I was expecting. There is nothing to out of the normal coming up for us anytime to soon, we will email, shop, get a NOT free hair cut, and probably play a little basketball today. Then be missionaries the rest of the week. I got a letter from Aunt shirley, and aunt dori I believe this week, Elder Wright and I love "thoughts of the week" from the letters so thanks so much. This week has been really awesome to see just how simple things really are, how powerful yet simple testimonies are in helping people want to listen to the gospel. I hope you have a wonderful week.

I forgot to tell you last week that all the libraries were closed on the 4th so we have just a couple minutes today to email. It sounds like things are going good there, and thanks for all the updates. There is an endless supply of people almost, and a lot that love to hear about Jesus Christ in Akron. Right before we ate some pizza, which was pretty good, at the smiths on Friday a guy pulled up in a car and wanted a Book of Mormon, that doesnt happen everyday so that was great. We for sure get our biking in around here. I am doing good, I for sure dont like messy things even more than I did before, some people have dirty houses. I will have to give you a better update next week and this is probably the only email I will get out today. Thanks for everything and we will hope the clouds continue for us around here so it isnt too hot.

This week was another week of chugging along with some really awesome things and not so awesome too. This week has turned into more like summer. It has been hot, humid and sunny most of the time. Josh was able to come to church so that was good. we continue working with Luis and Caleb and lots of others like Ron Hunt, Juana's family and lots of others. So at our lesson with Juana we brought brother Garner who speaks spanish and they talked in spanish most of the time until the end and Brother Garner said Juana knew the church was true, but she wants her son Brandon and ( not officially husband yet) Alberto to recieve an answer before she goes any farther. We also meet a guy while tracting who we gave a Book of Mormon to a few weeks ago and he stopped us and said he is reading and loves the book. We just had District meeting this week, nothing else to different. Transfers are July 13. Elder Taylor is an only child to his parents, but has half brothers and sisters. His dads family are members but not necessarily active, his mom was a convert and is from West Virginia. He has been out 1 transfer longer than me. Elder Taylor is really nice though and is always willing to share what he has. We have a washer and dryer in the basement of the apartment we are able to use. Something that inspires me is lots of things really, but the most important thing is trying to make it back to Heavanly Father again. I dont keep in a lot of contact, Elder Koppenhafer the most at this point, and he is doing well and is now a Zone Leader. I am doing well myself, this week learning a lot more about the importance of feeling and retaining the spirit. I am doing great, learning lots and having a wonderful time here. Have a good one.
