Another week down here too. The weather has been more like winter this week than spring, at least the end which is all I remember haha. It snowed a couple of days this week and has been raining today. This week we had district meeting on Wednesday so the Zone leaders could go on exchanges with Elder Mitchell and Elder Klinglesmith. Elder Ogle came here, I knew him from Kirtland he was in Painesville which we even covered part of. He is from Chicago so he has some good stories. We got to clean the Food Bank again for our Friday service this week so that was fun. We also went to a baptism on Saturday for the New Portage Elders because they asked us to give a little lesson while the people were changing out of their wet clothes. We are just trying to help a couple of our investigators named Gloria and Lawana ready for baptism and as always looking for anyone to talk to we can. I havent talked to Lebron yet, but one of these days. Elder Mitchell is doing good still, people are trying to give him a hard time but he is a good missionary. Hopefully some of this rain moves on out to Utah, that would be good for us haha. But Things are really going good for me here. I hope you have a wonderful week and that everything gets done that needs to.

I am still doing pretty good this week. This week we were able to find some new investigators so that was good. One of the people we met, after Elder Whittaker shared the first vision, stopped and said that was all he needed to hear and he felt really touched. He was at a point in his life he wanted to get back to church and we will see how it goes, but it was really cool to to have someone say that. We watched conference at the church. It was really good I thought as well, to many good ones I cant pick a favorite. It would have been really neat to be at the Kirtland temple, I think they watched the priesthood session in the Kirtland temple for the people who lived around the area, or at least I think that is what I remember them announcing. But nothing else to crazy happened this week. I was a colder week and snowed yesterday morning, but melted away by the end of the day. We did quite a bit of biking, we had a couple dinner appointments in Copley, which is away from Akron and there is still houses, but more spread out and I even saw a couple of clydesdales there. It is like the country from what I have seen for Ohio. Next week will be normal, and no transfers until the next week because this is a 7 week transfer instead of 6. I hope you have a great week and I will do the same.

March 29, 2016
So this week was a pretty good week. We had a baptism on Saturday with Janie Oliver. She is actually 70 and was super excited to get baptized, she was even baptized by Bishop Davis. We also had Zone Conference this week, so President Brown and Elder Murphey and my friend Elder Jensen, the assistants, came and we had the conference from about 10 to 5 with a lunch break in the middle. It was really good and I learned a lot for being better at teaching people. The weather changes everyday, yesterday was borderline hot and today is windy, rainy, and borderline cold. You never know what you might get here. We ate dinner at the Yawu's, they moved from Africa a few years ago and were baptized about 1 year ago, so i got to eat some African food without going there. It was cabbage with pork and bone in fish ( I didn't get any but elder Whittaker did, he doesn't like fish either), chicken wings, chilli, donuts, muffins, and plantains. We also visited Cornelius, a less active with a really big afro he sticks his hair pick in when he walks around. We cleaned at the Food bank and unpackaged soap this week. We also found some new people, so hopefully we teach them more than 1 or 2 lessons. I did get the package on Saturday, thanks so much. I was asking Elder Whittaker if he knew what scotcheroos were and so it was perfect to show him. I checked out the book and my pick by just looking at the pictures was lot 28, but 1 looked good too haha. And thanks for the gloves and pen dad, you can always use pens and gloves, especially from Sitz. Thanks for the updates, Elder Mitchell is the District Leader for us 4 and Elder Liddell and Elder Elggren in the New Portage Branch, which is right below our area. I don't mind to much being on a bike, at least when it isnt to cold, because we are able to get outside and move around a little more than when you have a car. With General Conference coming up that is exciting for us, we will probably end up watching it at the church. We have been just trying to visit and as always find people to teach. I hope you have a wonderful week, I am doing good, i forgot my camera at the baptism, so maybe I can get a picture to you from Elder Whittaker. I appreciate all the support still from everyone. Have a great week.

LeBron's House
This week has been a little slower week for us, it was still good but there was quite a few of our investigators who weren't able to meet this week. We do have a baptism, at least we are planning on it for Saturday, it is an older lady about 55 named Jannie. She is friends with a member named Sister Hunt, so i can remember her name anyway. Elder Mitchell is from Idaho and fell away from the church for a little while but then turned himself around and came on a mission. He is 27 and goes home in about 10 weeks. This transfer is actually 7 weeks because they are keeping missionaries in the mtc longer now, 3 weeks instead of 2 so everyone has to have a week longer transfer to keep on track. I have learned a lot about the scriptures for sure, but something that we have came across recently is that just by reading the scriptures makes a big difference in peoples lives. If people will read the Book of Mormon they probably come to church and will get baptized, if they don't they probably wont. The answers are in the scriptures. So i will send a picture of Lebrons house, we pulled up to the fence in his front yard and a security guard told us he was home, so he must have not been in utah yet, and if we hurried we could take a picture. I am sure they get lots of visitors. We get dinner appointments about 2-3 times a week on average so far. There is no brother phillips to feed you every night haha. I did see the copes family. We were able to talk to lots of people, not all were interested but it was good to be able to have conversations with so many people. We also went on exchanges this week, I went with Elder Klinglesmith to there area. There area is really rich so it is slower, but it was good. We also helped one of their less actives move this morning. It has been a little cooler here so we are hoping the weather warms up this week. We are going to be singing in the ward choir Sunday, and we have Zone conference this week as well. I am doing good and things are going pretty good. Things are flying by pretty fast. I appreciate all the support. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Getting to know the area
So things are still going good. I am still trying to get to know people here, I have only met the investigators with dates coming up soon 2 times, but they seem like nice ladies. I do live just a little bit away from Akron city limits, but it is pretty close. There is definatley more stories that go on in a 4 elder apartment, I did live in one for a few weeks at first as well. So this week we biked all around Akron, and we were able to talk to lots of people. We met with Jae'len yesterday and we taught the plan of salvation and he was really excited to know he could find out his great grandmas name, and that we come here for 2 years. He is about 20 or so and looks good at this point. I have gotten to know Brother Callahan good so far. We got the car on tuesday and he came with us for half the day to visit people. He is a funny guy, he is 63 and has only been a convert for 9 years, but he know a lot and doesnt see very good thats why we have to drive him. We also have 2 other Elders from New portage branch in our district, Elder Elggren and Elder Liddel, they are both from northern utah. I also have a couple pictures for this time. I still get to shop at Aldi, it isnt my favorite store for sure, but the cheapest out there I think so thats where we go. I hope you all have a wonderfull week and that everything goes good for you. Thanks for all the support and all everyone does.

First Week in Akron
So things in Akron are going pretty well. We actually dont have a car so we either bike or bus or walk almost everywhere. My companion is from Circleville his name is Taylor Whittaker and he has been out 1 more transfer than me. We get along fine, he played baseball and golfed all of his high school years, but he wrestled a little to. He is familiar with the same things I am so it is fun to talk about things. So it ended up taking about a few hours to figure out the rides from Kirtland to Akron, I rode with the zone leaders to the cleveland stake center, then drove with elder strickland to Medina, then drove with elder whittaker to Akron. There are 4 elders in our apartment, Elder Klinglesmith from roy and Elder Mitchell from Jerome Idaho. So it is fun to have 4 in an apartment. It was kind of like leaving home away from home, but i am sure the Akron ward will at least get close to being like Brother Phillips haha. Also, Jamie and Jadyn is going to send you a picture in the mail of us. the blatters were my buddies too( Mike and Ronica). Ya i knew about the sisters, I didnt really know them, but sister west is out of the hospital at the sites now, and sister morrison is getting out of intensive care tomorrow i think. But they are all improving and doing good. It is pretty crazy they even lived. Yes, we did go to the Kirtland temple as well, so that was pretty cool. So in the other Elders area, but in our ward, lives guess who, Lebron James! So I keep telling them they need to talk to him somehow. We are going to go drive by his house either this week or next, so i should get some pictures of it. Our apartments address is: 168 Kenridge Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. So that is our physical address as well. It should be the same for packages too. It sounds like it is still going good their. It has stayed pretty warm still here and today is in the 50s, it has been a little colder, but no snow so that is good for us. They have 7 people with baptismal dates right now, so things are going along pretty good here. But I am doing well, i will have to relearn how to cook thought, because we dont have the phillips here. I'm sure i will have some good stories next week. Have a great week.

He's moving!
This week has been a really good one. We found some new people to teach and Daniel came to church and Mark and Kelli are doing awesome. They should both get baptized next weekend, the 11th and 12th. So I am headed to Akron and my companion is Elder Whittaker, he came out with me but I never really talked to him before but it will be fun. I will for sure get the the new address next week. There really hasnt been anything to weird I have eaten. I ate thanksgiving dinner in October on some dirty dishes but that was about it. Mainly just good stuff, but who knows what they eat in Akron.I usually jut cook a quesdilla or ramen noodles or a sandwich for lunches. Elder Schmidtke cooked a Alfredo pasta thing but Elder Koppenhafer doesnt really cook crazy things. I am glad to hear the wind still blows in Enterpise. Things are still going good for me. Today we are just getting ready for next week and packing up for Akron. I hope your week is going good, and you have a great one ahead.
