Baptism week
I have to say it has been a pretty great week as far as the weather is concerned. It snowed only a skiff, and melted away the next day and it has still been about 30 to 45 degrees. This week went pretty well though, Jamie and Jadyn are still getting primed and ready for their baptism which is on Saturday. They are still doing really good. Daniel was able to quit smoking, at least for a couple of days so far. We were able to find some new people with our finding february so that is good as well. It did seem like a little bit slower of a week, but is was still not to bad. As far as anything that was out of the normal there really wasn't a whole lot except we were able to go to the hospital and give a blessing to an investigator not in our area. Aunt Shirley really is old faithful when it comes to the letters which I am so grateful for. I appreciate everyone so much and they will have to forgive me if I haven't gotten back to them, or if I either before I left or after, said something untrue I haven't done yet. Hopefully I remember and if it takes me a while hopefully everyone forgives me if they think I am being mean, I just procrastinate sometimes. But it sounds like everyone is doing well and I hope it continues to go good for everyone. Elder Koppenhafer and I are still doing good. Like I said before we have different opinions sometimes but that's ok and it all works out in the end. Glad to hear you got the snow though, because I know the mountains need it from the past few winters for sure. I hope you have a wonderful week and that the cows do good, the basketball teams do good, and you have a happy valentines day. I do have 1 picture, which is an improvement from last week.

Feeling like Spring
This week has been a little slower, but still a great week. Jamie and Jadyn are still primed for their baptism on the 13th and Daniel is still struggling with smoking so he is pushed back again. It was still cold to begin the week, but this weekend was like spring. Saturday was 50s and yesterday hit 60 so almost all the snow has melted away. They say more snow is coming, but we will take all the nice weather we can get. We did our fair share of tracting this week, and our 96 year old investigator bob came to church so that was really exciting. We had a linger longer after church which I had never had before, but it was really just a mini ward party where everyone brought something to eat and visit a little after church. Things are still going just fine between Elder Koppenhafer and I, and we are getting better at teaching together all the time. It sounds like everything is going great for you. Hopefully the high school teams catches fire it is crazy that they are already getting ready for baseball and softball. Nothing to crazy going on here, just keeping trying to find people and teach them. Thanks for everyones support and maybe I will remember to take some pictures for you this next week. I will watch for the package for sure. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Things are still chugging along. It has been a colder and a snowy week for sure. It is different trying to get used to walking around in the snow and cold, but maybe we are on the warm up now. Today it is 40, it has been about 10-20 degrees most of the week. It was a little slower for finding people, but we are still teaching a lot of people and and they are all coming along at their own pace. Jamie and Jadyn are still doing great, Daniel is struggling and some others are on the brink of really making some progress. Elder Koppenhafer and I are still getting along fine. We have different thoughts on plenty of things, but we are doing great and having plenty of fun. He is good at looking at things from others perspective as his dad isnt a member so he knows a little better how people feel when we are talking to people. Yes, we usually pick up mail on Thursday and Monday as well, but that is about the only days. Hey that is exciting to hear about old 125, it is going to be the best one in the pen this fall haha. It looks like a good one. It sounds like the Jazz still arent doing to good, but the warriors are for sure. Glad to hear everything is going well with Dax and Allies basketball games. Tell Kaylee to send me a couple pictures, it sounds like she is doing great and is going to be a master picture taker. You will have to tell Grandma happy birthday and that I got her letter a couple of weeks ago, along with a few from aunt Shirley and one from Aunt Dori, and yes we do have good heat in our apartment. I still appreciate everyones support so much. It is crazy to me as well that we are almost done with January. Tonight we are going to eat dinner at the Lybberts, stop by a former investigator and then visit with Courtney. Nothing to crazy going on here, I am still doing well and things are going to be great this next week. Hopefully everything goes great next week and all the feeding gets done. I am learning something everyday so it is awesome and I will talk to you next Monday.

Staying in Kirtland
So this week it decided to snow and become winter for real. We have 1 to 2 feet in the last 2 days. The temperature is hanging anywhere between 18 and 10 degrees. So I haven't spoken in church yet, I have said 2 prayers and bore my testimony once in sacrament. The ward doesnt have to many errands for us so we just go and visit some more lonely or struggling people. We do help people out when they need it. This last week we shoveled a lot of peoples driveways, in the fall we raked leaves, but nothing to major. I'm not sure I could say my favorite part of Ohio, the wind doesnt blow as much as it does in Enterprise. They have pizza places everywhere and everyone loves football, but as for my favorite it would have to just be the nice people i have met like brother phillips and jamie and others. I am staying in Kirtland one more round with Elder Koppenhafer as my companion. We visited Sister Myers, the meal cordinator last night, and she was already shipping me out it was kinda funny. The next transfer is March 2. This week we got to have a conference with Elder Gong who is in the Presidency of the 70. It was great, with lots of good information, it was so good you couldn't think to good after because of all that was said. Nothing super exciting except the normal things like finding people to talk to and visiting less actives and investigators. It has been good here though. It sounds exciting back home too. Everyone sounds like they are having lots of fun playing basketball and the cows are doing good too. I will try to get more pictures if I can remember ever. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I hope everything goes good. They might not know what to do without me to pick a bull out for them at sitz haha.

So things are going pretty good for us really. Daniel is still doing good and he is still scheduled for baptism on January 23. Jamie and her daughter are also getting baptized on February 13. Leonard moved out of our area so we may never see him again. But this week was colder, but still a pretty decent week for January in Ohio. Yesterday it snowed and the temperature is about 14 right now. We went on exchanges on Wednesday, I stayed in our area again with Elder Dunne. He is from San Diego and is a surfer. We went to a surf shop in Fairport and talked to a guy who now has a baptismal date as well, so it must have been an inspired exchange. We havent seen much of Adam packer this week, but the members still go out with us quite a bit, especially brother phillips but there is nobody quite as excited as him. He goes around telling everyone we are going to baptize 1000 people, so thats our goal. But nothing super crazy happened this week. We have a good amount of people to stop by and visit, but also do our fair share of tracting because no one walks in Mentor. They arent quite all coming to church yet, but we will get them there one of these days. Our recent converts went to the temple on Friday, but we couldnt go because they wouldnt be back in time. We actually get to have a member of the 70 come and talk to us on Thursday so that will be good. Also do you still have snow? Transfers are next week so I wont be emailing until tuesday next week. But I hope you have a great week and thanks so much for the email and everyones support. My companion and I are still doing good together and the work is really good here according to people from other areas. Have a wonderful week.

Finally got some snow..
This week wasnt to bad of a week. I cant remember if I told you about Leonard, but he is a 62 year old man who has no teeth and is a member of the RLDS church, but wants to get baptized in February. He makes the funniest comments ever. We have also got to spend some time with Adam Packer, who is brother Packers 22 year old son that got off his mission from Japan a year ago. He is really fun and it is great to have a member to drive us around anytime any day ( he is waiting to go back to japan in a couple of weeks). We found quite a few people who say they are interested but we need to go visit them a few more times and see if they really are, but it seems like they are. It finally snowed a 1/2 inch this morning, and it is about 32 all day and night now. Courtney is doing good, she likes to ask a lot of deep doctrine questions. Daniel is getting baptized on January 23 now, so hopefully he makes it by then. But nothing to exciting besides that. I did get some late letters and I appreciate everyones support. Hopefully I can get some letters written to everyone too. It might be july, but hopefully i can get it done. Well it sounds like you all are doing great, and so am I. I guess another cool story is a man saw us tracting across the street and he isnt a member, but he reffered us to come and visit him because he wants the mormons to teach his 14 year old daughter who knows nothing about religion or even Heavanly Father. So hopefully that family turns out good. I hope your week is wonderful and that the new year is great.
